Arctic Adventure

Again, we went out on a Aurora Expedition tonight, 2019-03-18 and this night we start up in heavy  snow storm but with the weather forecast saying it will get colder and hopefully that comes with a clear sky. So it did, around kl. 22.00 there come up northern light (aurora from a clear sky). We got a glimpse of it in about 3-4 minutes before it disappear. We still have cold nights around -15 C tonight. Tomorrow we will head out snowmobiling and maybe some nice icefishing on a frozen lake in a neighbourhood. Good night!

We went out on a tour called aurora colloseum together with Kiruna Guidetur, and these are the pictures taken from that night. It was a nighrt with wonderful northernlight, it was magic! Here is still possible to see and experience the northernlight until en of April.

Riksgränsen, The National Border in Swedish, is a ski-resort in Kiruna Municipality, Lappland, Sweden, 200 km north of the Arctic Circle. The skiing season is from February to June. From end of May the lifts operate under the midnight sun.

There is still chance to experience the Northern Lights in Kiruna, and you can also stay overnight in a Igloo, or in such a cabin with fireplace in the middle where you can enjoy the heat and at the same time experience the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) through large pannorama windows in the roof. Kiruna city 2019-03-01 Again we got to see this, a wonderful evening with aurora borealis (northern light) so clear and visible even in the city center.
